26.3 Assignement 





Introduction : The film I will be talking about this Peter Pan which was released in the year 2003. The production house of the film is antasy adventure film released by Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures, and Revolution Studios the setting of the film was set in different locations such as Tahiti, New Zealand, and London. The genre of the film is fantasy adventure film. This film has at least three producers who were Douglas Wick is an American film producer whose work includes producing the Oscar-winning 2000 film. Another producer was Lucy Fisher who is known to be an American film producer the final producer was Patrick McCormick who is also known to be a film producer. The job a producer is expected to do is to oversee a film production or either be employed by a production company or working independently. The way a producer can be able to oversee an aspect of a production is by working on the production during the process which will happen through marketing and distribution this is the way the producer can see the aspect of the production.The type of research technique which the producer was able to use was questionnaires such as Quantitative research which was getting opinions from different people about the film which they created. 

The target audience for Peter Pan was aimed at a younger audience such people from the age of 5-30 which shows that anybody could be able to watch this and there no aged limits because there was not much violence and horror going on in the film which would be aimed at a more higher audience. The way this film managed to target the audience was due to the use of fantasy used in the film which made the film see more interesting to watch because of the use of imagination which turned out to be real life. An example of this could seeing Peter Pan flying in the air and seeing a real life fairy and real life pirates on a ship.The target audience were correctly selected because the people who have watched the film can see the way that the producers have made the film relate back to the genre which is also the type of genre which they are interested. They can also see throughout watching the film that the producers have not added in a different type of genre which will make the audience want to question the film which indicates that the wrong audience was selected.

The way Peter Pan 2003 was marketed through different types of trailers which was to catch the audiences attention by giving them small clips about what happens in the film and who took part in the film the first trailer was produced five years later on the 16th October 2008 this was uploaded by Alex Dreiser. There was also a second trailer which was also released by Alex Dreiser on the 20th October 2008. This film has produced their film through different types of websites which can attract more people to watch the film. An example of this could be universal pictures, allied stars and revolution studios. 

The film was disturbed by universal pictures also international and north America television. The benefits of selecting the correct distributer is getting your product market ready also be understanding who you are selling to. Another benefit is to ask questions to prevent any errors. The amount of which was made at the box office was a 100 million of a production budget.
